The house is heated by the wood burner in the kitchen/dining room area. A great deal of money invested in the "burner". The chimney was rebuilt 5 years ago and conforms to the necessary safety norms. There are electric radiators in bedrooms 1 and 2 but we have never needed to use them. Throughout the house there is the provision for electric radiators, but once again we have never felt the need to actually install them.
The Roof Is perfect and very well insulated against heat and cold.
The Reception room office and pantry can easily be converted into a shop/workshop, which would be perfectly placed in the village. Many years ago it was used for this purpose. The house benefits from two entrances which could give, one to the shop and a separate accommodation.
